I’m a bit confused about where cruise ships actually dock when visiting Halong Bay.
I’ve seen some people mention Cai Lan port, while others say Hai Phong.
Which one is correct?
All international cruise ships dock at Halong International Cruise Port (Bai Chay area).
This is the main port used for cruise passengers visiting Halong Bay.
Cai Lan is a cargo/industrial port area, not typically used for tourist cruise ships
In the past, some ships used different ports, including Cai Lan, depending on conditions, but nowadays Halong International Cruise Port is the standard.
