Does anyone know if there is WiFi available at Halong cruise port?
I may need to send a few messages and check email when our cruise ship docks there. Just wondering if there’s public internet available.
Yes, there is public WiFi available at Halong cruise port provided by the port management. It’s free to use but works through a captive portal system.
When you connect to the WiFi network, you’ll be redirected to a login page where you need to watch a short advertisement and wait a few seconds before clicking the access button.
The connection speed is moderate. It’s usually good enough for things like sending emails or chatting on messaging apps.
The system normally disconnects users after a short period of time, so you may need to reconnect again if you stay longer.
Here’s a short example showing how the WiFi login works at the port:

That’s good to know. Sounds like it should be enough for basic communication. Thanks for sharing the information!
