Does anyone know if it's customary to tip the drivers of the free electric cars at the Halong cruise terminal? It’s just a short hop to the lobby, but I’d love to know what the standard practice is. Thanks

@anne You were so kind to ask about tip. That's not required. But 1-2$ per group sounds fair

Tipping isn't required at all since it’s a free service. However, giving $1 (about 25k VND) is a nice gesture if you feel the driver did a great job. Completely up to you!
