Quick question regarding money: Is there a place to exchange currency right at the Ha Long cruise port? Also, do local shops and taxis generally accept USD, or is it better to carry VND? Thanks in advance!

When you get to the main lobby, you can xchange at Information Center. VND cash is the best in any cases there. And there's ATM outside also but it's not always functioning...

Low rate might be applied at the port. And they won't accept old notes or odd notes or might be applied lower rate
