Just wondering if there’s a Grab pick-up point at the terminal? I’ve heard some port taxis overcharge tourists. Any tips?

Actually, there is no Grab pick-up point inside the terminal. When a big ship docks, the exit area gets incredibly crowded, and regular Grab cars aren't allowed to enter or park for pick-ups/drop-offs.

The easiest and most reliable ways to get around without worrying about being "ripped off" are:

Yellow Electric Cars: These are available right at the port and are great for a breezy ride around the Bãi Cháy area.

Xanh SM (Electric Taxi): This specific company is authorized to park and wait inside the port because they have an official agreement with the terminal management. They are very professional, use meters, and the cars are brand new. It’s definitely your best bet for a fair price and a stress-free exit!

It’s super crowded at the gate and hard to find a Grab there. Honestly, just pre-book a private car. It’s much safer because if you leave something behind, they’ll actually help you get it back. With random taxis, once you're out, you're on your own. Keep it simple and book ahead!
