Hi everyone! Our cruise docks at Ha Long International Cruise Port at 8:00 AM and we have to be back by 2:00 PM. We're thinking of booking a private shore excursion to see the city and maybe grab some local food.
Is 4-5 hours enough to really see anything, or should we just stay near the pier? Also, is it easy to find a private driver right at the port or should we book in advance? Thanks!

Welcome! 5 hours is actually a decent amount of time for a highlight tour. You can definitely hit the Quang Ninh Museum (the architecture is stunning!) and have a nice seafood lunch near the Bai Chay area.
