I’m planning to stay one night on Tuan Chau Island after finishing a 2D1N Halong Bay cruise.
Just wondering is there actually much to do there, or would it be better to head somewhere else?

Staying one night on Tuan Chau can make sense if you want a slower, more relaxed schedule.
Especially if you're planning to take the ferry to Cat Ba the next day it’s quite convenient
It’s also a good option if you don’t want to rush straight back after your cruise.
You can just unwind a bit instead of dealing with transport right away.
There are a few things to do on the island, especially if you're traveling with kids.
Places like small animal farms - Tuan Chau farm, theme parks, and dolphin, sea lion shows can keep them entertained
There’s also a beach on Tuan Chau that’s free to access.
Nice for a walk in the evening, though it’s not the most spectacular beach in the area.
If you're looking for more energy, restaurants, and nightlife, Bai Chay would be a better choice.
Tuan Chau is much quieter in comparison.
