I’ll be doing a Halong Bay day cruise in a few days and I’m looking for options with halal food.
At the same time, I’d prefer something not too crowded.
Is there any cruise that offers proper halal meals for a day trip?
Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!
fully halal certified setups are very hard to find on day cruises. Proper halal certification usually requires a separate kitchen, utensils, staff, and even serving space... which is difficult on smaller day boats
Most halal options in Halong Bay are on overnight cruises, not day trips.
Some well known ones like Mon Cheri or Peony or Catherine do offer halal certified meals, but those are 2D1N or longer itineraries.
Try Indian vegetarian meals on board. Some cruises offer decent Indian style set menus (dal, aloo, roti, naan, etc.), which might be a safer and more satisfying choice on a day trip.
If you order a set menu, you usually won’t join the buffet
If halal is very important to you, I’d honestly consider switching to an overnight cruise.
That’s where you get proper facilities, better food control, and overall a more comfortable experience.
